When bought so recently, the question always comes up, why not return it?

This is a perfectly good place to ask that question.
That's because I reported it to the Moderators asking for it to be moved here :p

Hi,
I have a Airport Extreme Base station connected to an ADSL modem. This is set up and seems to be working fine. I also have an Airport Express to go in between the base station and my computer to extend the range as my computer reads about 30%. However, despite appearing to be working (green light is on on both devices) there is no change in signal strength.
I set up the base station to create a wireless network, and set the express to join existing network, then extend the range, all with Airport Utility. I have moved the express to different plug sockets at varying distances between the computer and the base station but to no effect. My computer can just about connect to the internet but my PS3 which has a lower reception (about 20%) can't get online. I moved the PS3 next to the base station router to check it wasn't a PS3 issue and it worked fine but this is not a long term solution for me.
So the only problem is why laptop/PS3 seem to still be connecting to the base station which is further away, rather than the express? I saw something about WDS mode, which while I know what it stands for, I don't understand how this is different to what I have set up already.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The iPod's Music Quiz game really is a pretty fun idea. We tend to think of games on a music player as just "extras," but this one is actually a great MUSIC feature! A fun way to you explore your collection.

Someone on another forum suggested I try to transfer the files and folders in small batches. I tried and it mysteriously worked. I managed to transfer everything folder by folder; it was arduous but it did the job.

Apple also makes storage solutions.
An important part of a SAN is the software.
That's okay. A category can have more than one parent.

Yeah I'd love to see how power 7 would fold
We just got a bunch of pwr 7 systems as well as a boatload of Nehalem's at work, too bad I'll never get a chance to try them out :(

Supports up to 4GB, darn. Thanks though.
Let me guess... you checked using the serial number method I posted, right? If you had also checked the other two, you would see it supports up to 6GB, even though Apple only says 4GB. I edited my earlier post for clarification.

Should have got a Macbook Air if you like the silver bezel so much ;)
for a bezel? :D
I have not seen anything like you're describing. I'd suggest you trade/replace your glossy display assembly with someone who BTO a matte display. Otherwise it's not really an economic "upgrade"
I've a 13", so no OEM matte display for my mac :(

IF you ever think about parting the system and games out, I might be interested in the snow boarding game depending on the price.
PM me if you ever consider it.
Thanks!
Rob
Alright, well I'll wait a while on the package and if nothing happpens or if everyone wants an individual thing, I'll consider it.

Doesn't mean that Verizon can't throttle per se. The key phrase is: subject to reasonable network management. From the forum post you even linked:
They can throttle traffic if the tower is busy or switch to metered billing, but they cannot block it.
The post seems to be focused more on if Verizon can block third-party tethering apps.

hi
Does anyone in the forum have experience with the 2 monitors I listed.
Both are under 350.00, much less than apple cinema display.
Samsung LED from newegg
viewsonic LCD from amazon
Will be using with 13" i7 macbook pro.
Will be using mostly photoshop, nothing crazy.
please if you have one of these monitors let me know.
thanks in advance !!!!!
LED is where the future is, I would highly recommend the samsung. I own a samsung led tv and I will say the picture and color contrast is absolutely stunning.
Both are 1080P (1920x1080), so the 27" ACD has ~70% greater resolution (2560x1440).
I don't think he was asking about the ACD and also try doubling the price on it. He could buy two samsung led and still have extra cash left over. Moving up from 1280x800 to 1920x1080 is already a leap.

I may go tomorrow for leopard, if I can get enough money together. But, I think I'll drop by on Saturday from like, 10:00-3:00, because I have to record a podcast at 4:00. But It would be sweet if I won a prize.

You will be able to do that, it just doesn't like to stay awake unless a keyboard or mouse is there, or if it isn't plugged into the wall. It may also require the display to be plugged in.

hello everyone ,
what is the different between set/get function and @property/@synthesize ?
is it just syntax code or not ? and what does mean ?
The Objective-C 2.0 language manual on Apple's web site will answer all these questions. And playing around with styles like you did is _very_ impolite.

first result in google for epson stylus pro 4880 gives the answer on tech specs
3mm all round or 3mm on top and sides with 14mm on bottom
http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Large-Format/Epson-Stylus-Pro-4880/Tech-Specs
Cheers
Why not print on a larger sheet, include bleeds and trim it down?
Then your nearly borderless presentation will be truly borderless.
Those uneven borders can be so vexing.
the printer can't print bigger than A2 I don't think.
3mm is fine anyway.
thanks for the help

I was reading through some archives on mac security and came across an article detailing a trojan hidden in an mp3 file that surfaced 2004 and could affect mac operating systems.
This got me wondering about the way such threats can be packaged across all platforms and then dragged this question from somewhere out of my paranoid subconscious:
If an mp3 contained any kind of malware (trojan/virus, thinking cross platform here) and it could play music what would happen if it was burned as an audio cd and then ripped back to mp3 file?
Would the malware remain intact and just take up residence in the newly ripped file or would it be destroyed?
What if it were to be burned as an audio cd then ripped back into a different file format, flac, aac etc.
Would the malware survive that?
Converted from mp3 to a different file format, how about that?
In fact, would it be possible to create an audio cd from an infected file without the burning software crashing before it was done?
Any ideas, theories or  experiences?
This isn't a specific mac question, more of a general cross platform just kind of wonderin' if anyone else has thought of it question.
I haven't got an infected mp3 file to try else I'd give it a go on my old windows pc to see what happens.
