And Rntgenstrahlung is the original name for "X-Ray", as the man who detected "x-rays" is Wilhelm Conrad Rntgen.
Duh, I should have known that although it's been a mighty long time since taking the National Boards :D
BTW.....I only mentioned my sister and nephews to explain why these particular anniversaries caught my eye!

When re-installing (or just insalling) Os X you can either delete the previous System Folder or Just move it to another folder, by default that it what it is called.

Im running a mac mini late 2009 2.26 ghz 4gb ram, and my istat pro is reading 3.9 million page ins since i restarted this morning. I use my mac for web surfing, music, 1080p video/netflix, gaming (WoW).
Is this normal? Will this hinder performance?

What you need to do is get rid of "<img src="images/minahbw.png">". Instead put text there, with a description of what it is.
ex:
HTML:
<a class="rollover" href="images/Minah_sBusinesscard.pdf-1.jpg" rel="lightbox" title="Minah's Sweets Business Card">Minah's Sweets Business Card</a>
CSS:
a.rollover {
display: block;
width: 800px;
height: 100px;
text-decoration: none;
text-indent: -9999em;
background: url("webvamp.jpg") left top;
}
a.rollover:hover {
background-position: left bottom;
}
Create the "webvamp.jpg" and the rollover state below the exact image so that your image is actually 200px high and your just shifting the image up.

Pretty fun, but hard to win. I got lucky and won once. There's nothing special at the end, just a message saying "Insanely Great".

i was wondering if anyone had a copy of the 'hongkong' wallpaper that was once on the apple website displayed on the 23'' cinema display. its a very hightech looking pic. if someone has it and could email it to my listed address that would be great :)

I like the idea of a Magic Trackpad shipping with every Mac. He didn't mention that new MacBooks will be announced, so thin that they disappear when viewed edge-on.

Too bad you're current avatar was being used before the contest. I think it would have made for a good submission. I like this one too, though.

Hey guys,
I have a pair of noise-canceling headphones I plug into my Macbook, but unfortunately I sometimes can't hear my phone ringing right across from me, which is pretty annoying
Is it possible to plug one pair of headphones into two devices, so that it will receive audio from both my macbook and phone? I don't really know how the wiring works but are there splitters that go from 1 female plug to 2 male plugs?
Thanks

might be with Airplane mode on..so no connections are being eaten up by battery. When I only listened to music at work, I could get about 10 hours use time just from music playing and that was with 3G on. I never turn on airplane mode.
Also make sure Wifi, bluetooth, any apps running in the background, push is set to off if you are worried about battery life. Only use those functions when you would need to use them.
