I have used MacX DVD Ripper Pro to convert some of my DVD's to AVI.
When I play the file in Quicktime it seems to end sooner than when I play it in VLC.
I want to burn the AVI's to DVD, as my DVD reads AVI files. I then don't have to find each disc, I can watch a disc with multiple AVI's on.
The problem is that on the DVD player it also reads the file like Quicktime and ends early even though there is still some of the movie left.
Is there something wrong with the way I am converting it? It doesn't happen to every disc I convert only some, so it is quite random and annoying.

Dell ultrasharp lineup. The u2311h offers the best bang for the buck. If you absolutely need 16:10 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 you can go with the u2410 but the jump in price is quite significant.

didn't notice it's brand new but brand new for 220 on craigslist.
The term "brand new" has a very broad meaning.
I have been following iPod touches and they seem to be going for near retail (that's if they're still sealed and brand new in box).

Wirelessly posted (iPod touch: Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)
An Invisible Shield for an iPod touch 1G can still be found. I've used one since December 2007. It was a little difficult to get on right, but after doing so it has worked wonderfully at preventing any scratches to the back.

The entertainment value of watching two people flail around like idiots during Wii Sports boxing could help you decide...
But that's the only time I've felt it necessary. Kind of depends on how much two player games you're hoping to play.

Try This, you just need to add the rollover class on the tag.

So I think the next step for you is to sync the iPods and make sure the apps are transferred by clicking on the device and then going to the "apps" tab.
You'll have to keep both iPods on the same account, but I don't think that should be a problem if they're being synced to the same iMac.

You can't put Graphics as a subcategory of Apple Software. It should be a top-level category like Networking. There should be subcategories:
Graphics Hardware
Graphics Software
Michael Fassbender
naming Michael Fassbender.

I came across a ton of prints from high school, and want to get digital versions and throw away the prints. I'm considering scanning them, but it will take a long time to do that. Conversely, I had a photo CD made way back when, but the pictures are only ~1500x1000... They look good on the computer, I doubt I'll ever want to print them, but I don't want images that are lower resolution than my iPhone.
Convenience seems to favor CDs, cost and quality favor scanning. What should a fairly basic, non-professional user like myself do?
(Almost all the pictures were taken with Kodak Advantix film. I thought that would be the future of film/photography in 2002. Kind of funny how absolutely wrong I was.)

You can't.
Bummer, I found a far less elegant work around that sadly involved booting into Windows 7. Usually OS X is the tool for the job, but I was having Flash issues with my webcam in Safari, Firefox and Chrome, but it worked fine in Firefox in Windows 7.

Recently I have been posting alot on topic and I also started an off topic one (9600 Web Server Information) which I will now delete and try not to start one similar again.
Possibly a new area called "Questions" but thats not really for rumors. hmm. Not sure.
Well this is a useless post so you might as well ignore it!
Some of the threads (such as Age and Brag about your Mac Here) are not really needed but its nice to know such information.
I think that there may be too many polls at the moment and that there should not be too many (Possibly a server limit of 5 per week?)
Also, will the front of the site be done up like the nice new designs of some pages? I hope so I really like the new pages.

Anyone notices the anomalies?

I've just setup like this:
Gmail IMAP to sync mail, calendar and notes
Gmail Exchange to sync contacts
Is there a way to have the contact sync via IMAP so I don't have to have a seperate entry for Exchange?

Thought people might be interested in the performance of this tech. I just finished my brand new SB i7-2600k build. Here's the complete specs:
Lian Li PC-A05NB case
Intel i7-2600k @ 4.5GHz - Cooler Master Hyper 212+ CPU cooler (temps 30C idle, ~60 load)
AMD HD 6970
MSI P67A-GD55(B3) motherboard
G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600
Corsair AX850 PSU
500GB WD Caviar Black SATAIII
2x 250GB WD Caviar Black SATAII RAID 0
Samsung Blu Ray Combo Drive
(Don't think I'm too crazy, some of these parts were scavenged from my [rather] old computer)
Now the good stuff, folding performance:
Used the PPD calc here: http://linuxforge.net/bonuscalc2.php
-SMP2
@ 4.4ghz
p6060
TPF: ~2 min 5 sec
PPD: 31026
@ 4.5ghz
p6900 (core a5)
TPF: ~26 min 0 sec
PPD: 46454
-GPU3 (HD 6970, stock speeds)
p5733 (core_11)
TPF: ~2 min 10 sec
PPD: Too loud...
Other benchmarks for fun:

(32-bit, so it under performs)

First thing to try is to delete ~/Library/com.apple.Dock.plist (~ denotes your user folder, in case you're not familiar with the notation), and then restart. That will recreate that file with the default contents. If that doesn't work, you'll have to do a reinstall probably, unless you saved the original Dock.app files (which is always recommended, even when using CandyBar or similar apps). If you use Time Machine, then you can get it from there, assuming you didn't intentionally exclude System Files.
